Just discovered the translate command detects the language. I was trying to translate what I thought was Spanish. Turns out it was Portuguese! The more I learn about this thing the more it enriches my life.

You have to enable that option: Settings > Advanced Features > Quick launch Camera

Once again, I'm aware of double tapping POWER button to quick launch camera, I'm talking about not having the ability to double tap HOME button to quick launch as in the video that I previously mentioned

Never knew that. I said here, translate this Spanish and it said no. Thats Portuguese. Smart phone indeed!

That's how I can do it and I am on Sprint, stock launcher. In reality I use Extreme Call Blocker and set up answer and hang up for spam.

One very welcome thing I've noticed is this Note 8 connects to the bluetooth in my car very, very fast. My Note 4 used to take 5 to 10 seconds to connect, longer than it took me to put on my seatbelt.

I wish I knew what the setting was for you. Mine defaulted with that ability. I'm with Verizon. I'll go see if I can find the setting. I suspect it's somewhere in the AOD settings.

Oh, sorry for misreading your post. As said by others, the home key double tap for the camera option has been taken away.

Not an option on my USA Verizon Note 8 either.

It works on my verizon phone.

I like being able to train the phone to recongnize my voice. All I have to say is "OK Google" and my phone opens up. Of course it goes directly to the Google Assistant page but all you have to do is press the home screen button to fix it.

One press on home button (or in my case - where the button should be as I've got them invisible) from AOD screen, and phone opens to hs almost instantly using iris scan. Brilliant!

I can double tap my Verizon Note 8 power button twice to open the camera. It came defaulted that way.

It works on my TMobile version also

It works on my verizon phone.

Do you have a setting to turn it on and off? If so, would you tell me the path to that setting? On mine, under Advanced Features, it gives me an option to for Quick Launch Camera, but only by way of the power button.
