I can't seem to get the bubbles to popup. still looking...

The bubble pop up is a feature if you have edge lighting turned on, you can still tap the drop down arrow when you pull down the notification bar and choose reply from the there without leaving the screen you're on. When you turn off edge lighting then you get the normal pop up.

I just found a few fun things that you can have bixby do for you. Im sure most of us already knew you can ask bixby to tell you a story or to tell you a joke, which is kinda cool. I found 2 other things that i find way more entertaining.

I found them while trying to get bixby to sing me a song lol

You can also say to bixby " Rap for me" and bixby will drop some mad rhymes on you.

Or you can say "Beat Box" and bixby will commence the beat dropping on you.

Anyone find anything else fun that bixby does?

I had tried to Zoom in and save a picture in my Gallery, but that no longer works straight from the picture, like on my S5. But I did use the Crop button on the bottom of the picture and then can zoom in and save. I wondered how I would add it to the Album it was in (the new edited photo), and I see that it is just added to that Album. I looked everywhere to see how to add it to the existing Album, and lo and behold it was already there!

Good 'ol google is up to its tentacles inside everyone's device. I just discovered this setting - so every day google goes thru all my apps and my phone!

Aren't apps from play store scrutinized BEFORE offered to the public? So why does google need to keep doing that daily, in my phone without my permission? BS. Can't turn that off! Device maintenance on note 8 does that.

Pretty common knowledge but never hurts to repeat for those that were not aware. I use this method exclusively as well. Works fast and slick. There's also an app called Fingerprint Gestures that you can use to add more functionality to the fingerprint scanner. Like double tapping or swiping down. I use the swipe down to activate my flashlight. convenient when you use your phone's screen to light something up but it's not enough - just swipe down the fingerprint scanner and flashlight comes on! Many other choices. Note that the phone has to be not locked for the alternate fingerprint scanner options to function.

Thats handy-i use the flashlight often since Im up way before my other half

Pleasantly surprised there actually IS an AM/FM tuner activated in the Verizon Note 8. Only bummer is it only works if headphones are plugged in as the antenna. Getting the Samsung Gear IconX 2018 earbuds soon... Just wondering if there is a way to leave the wire plugged in and listen instead through Bluetooth and automating that setup somehow with Tasker or IFTTT so I don't have to spend 10 minutes setting it up every time I want to do that. Anyone have any ideas (i would be great if the Samsung Gear IconX 2018 earbuds had a tuner built in!)?

I am on Virgin Mobile Canada, and I access the radio via Next Radio app. I plug in headphones to listen. I also have a pair of headphones from the dollar store that I cut off the ear buds so I can plug it in and use as an antenna and use phone like a transistor radio when dog walking.

Curious...why cut off the ear buds? I get just as good tuner reception with them on; besides, leaving the ear buds on gives you the choice to use the speakers for all to hear or the head phone for personal listening.

I cut them off so I don't have a bunch of wire and ear buds hanging off my phone when it is in my pocket. i.e. tidier lol. And I only pay a buck for the headset from dollar store.

This is a very happy day! One of my biggest gripes with Android security over the years has been having to press OK after entering your PIN. Just realized (after almost 2 weeks) that there's an option in settings to "confirm PIN without tapping OK" love it, love it, love it!
