It looks like you need a pretty ugly device to convert the Tab's 30pin connector to USB Host mode:

What gets me is the line "Full usb support that includes thumb drives" The Xoom is supposed to be the premier HC Tablet.

I am not interested in rooting for this feature.

Me either. I'm disappointed this doesn't work on Xoom without rooting.

I really hate that $20 is becoming the standard price for little proprietary adapters and usb cables. Just buy it off ebay, don't support these outrageous markups.
