Thinking of leaving Samsung S21 Ultra for iPhone 13 Pro Max...

Thats why I picked up an iPad pro. I have the best of both worlds. I use both equally through out the day.

iPad second to none as far as tablet. Had one since first gen iPad and have a few iPads that do duty in various rooms for media consumption. I forgot where I read someone saying the new iPad mini now the best media consumption device in the restroom lol.

But I still rock my Note 20U as my daily. And carry a iPhone XR when I'm biking or doing my runs.

With the rumored S22 Ultra coming out I will probably get that when time comes. Latest rendering basically a Note in shape and style basically got re-badged.

But that 13 Pro does sound nice... MKDB said best camera on a phone ever before his video comes out and DisplayMate said best screen and AverageConsumer said longest battery on a phone he's ever used on the Pro Max. Hope the S22U can do better in all three at least at launch.

Well that was all over the place. You said you're going to show us yet you didn't.

I will not argue with you on iMessage. Imessage is better in all ways as long as majority of people you communicate with are iPhone users. In my case that's not the situation. I do wish Android would improve on that, but it won't get better until it's universal on all Android phones. I don't see that happening with several texting apps out there. The only way I see it feasible is if Google only allows Google messages on all Android phones. iMessage works great because iMessage is only texting app on iPhone, at least last time I had one, so everyone with iPhones has the same format. So untill google forces all texting apps to do RCS, or force only Google messages we are stalled as I know of nobody using Google messages in my circle of friends. Maybe have texting apps use Google messages as a base program and other texting apps can build off that with their tweaks, kind of like the open OS Android uses. Then RCS would be universal. Just a idea

2nd G21 Ultra to give me this problem this is my wifes phone and luckily I had asurion and 12 months havent gone by yet. I was able to get a new one at no charge but this happened to mine and she hasnt dropped it or anything. So the curved edges for me at least are something I grew tired of.

I can understand a lot of people don't like the curved edges I've use certain cases that help with the edges not feeling so uncomfortable to be honest with you I like the flat as well but the iPhone is still uncomfortable to hold and I've seen some pretty bad cracked screens with it it's all about preference my friend all good I support both platforms actually

I switched to android after years with Apple, yes the ecosystem is nice and things work smoothly, but I had problems with them as well, they are not perfect and really who cares if you are a blue bubble. It's so funny how everyone gets so defensive of things they like, apple vs android. Xbox vs Playstation. The list goes on. Just enjoy what you like and let everyone do the same. So far I am liking samsung. There are things I do miss from IOS, but there are things that they don't have like on android. And sorry OP but I do like the widgets on this side, and the notifications are way better. Enjoy the apple ecosystem, it's great, and for me, for now I will enjoy the android side.

After a few days of comparisons I like them both still Although I will say that TO ME the 120hz on the iphone makes the 120hz on the S21 ultra feel like a 60HZ. The level of smoothness on the pro max is absolutely insane. As far as cellular service goes I feel like Samsung is better, I get better speeds when I use my ultra. The ultra is also more comfortable to hold. Everyone is raving about the pro max battery life but I'm not that impressed, maybe it's because I'm coming from the S21 Ultra and they are somewhat comparable TO ME lol. My standby times are not that great on the pro max I don't know wth is going on cause iphones are known to have great standby times. Both fantastic devices though, I'm glad that I'm able to have both phones cause I don't want to get rid of either.

What curved edges are you talking about? Also, most of us here have or do own an iPhone, and still overall prefer Galaxies, so just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean we all want to jump ship. I have had nothing but good times with my Ultra.

I'm thinking about paying off my S21 Ultra this weekend so that's paid off and then order the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256 GB. I'll love the S21 Ultra too much just to trade it in as a upgrade. So if I don't like the 13 Pro Max after 14 days or however long is the return policy is I can return it and still have my S21U and it will still make a great backup phone. I know it's way to early to tell what does everyone think about the 120 hz refresh rate, good or just as smooth as the S21U?

The only thing I didn't care about the 12 pro when I did have it, was it wasn't as bright as the Samsung Galaxy phones. The whites wasn't as white as Samsung's. I hope that case isn't the same this year. I read that last year's panel had a yellowish tint to it and I did noticed it was somewhat dull compared to Samsung.

I feel you on the curved screen, that's why I have the regular s21. I do also agree on the folding phones, kind of useless and fragile at the moment.

As far as which one is actually better falls down to personal preference, and what someone wants in a phone. I have owned just about every iPhone since the 5s and a slew android devices along the way.

I can say that they both literally do the same thing, just in different ways. Apples biggest strength is having the whole eco system of Apple products. That all seamlessly work together with zero effort. Their software support is also spot on as well.

Androids biggest strength is being able to use a phone how you actually want because you actually own it. You never truly own an iPhone in the way that you can't make it your own. You can only use an iPhone how apple let's you use it.

Another big strength of android is there really isn't anything an iPhone can do that and android can't. Aside from the obvious apple only. There is a ton of things android can do that iPhone will never be able to.

At the end of the day it always comes down to what fits you and how you want to use a device.

Really? I think the ultra seems like 120hz. 13 pro max needs an update to fix the issues as most apps don’t support the 120hz animations

When I look at my phone as much as I do in a day, I want to enjoy looking at it. iOS is not a joyful experience for me. The UI is so uninspiring, boring and old. I tried the 12 Pro for a few months before I sold it and came to the S21 Ultra. I was tempted by the shiny and new of the iPhone 12. The notch was annoying when playing games or watching video content. Hardware wise, it was a beautiful device to use and look at. Best ever in my opinion. But software to me is vastly more important and not just apps.
