Thinking of switching from Note 3 to LG G2, just some quick questions??

Hi,

I've had the Note 3 for under 2 weeks now. I've pretty much adjusted to the size (coming from iphone 5), and the OS is fine. According to T Mobile policy I can exchange my phone within the first 2 weeks. The G2 is slightly more comfortable in my hands. I'm not concerned about resale value because I'm part of T Mobile's jump program.

I REALLY like the predictive text of the Note 3, will the G2 be the same?
Has anyone else made a change from the Note 3 to G2 (potentially silly question in a Note 3 forum)?
Would I be making a mistake? :-\

THANKS

So the only reason you're switching to the G2 is it feels more comfortable in your hand?

If you're worried about the predictive text on the Note 3 just get SwiftKey on the G2. It is crazy how it predicts what I'll type next.

One point to consider would be battery life. I am not sure how the battery life is on the G2 but the battery life on the Note 3 is stellar. For me, since I have the Galaxy Gear watch, I do not use my phone much anymore.

When I had the Iphone 4, I switched to the Galaxy S3. I hated the battery life. The extended batteries just made the phone look horrible and I was restricted to certain cases. After dealing with this issue for 4 months, I got rid of the phone and went back to Iphone vowing never to return back to the Android Operating System. Now I have the Note 3, which was motivated by the Note 8 purchase I made back in November. Not sure I will ever go back. However, this phone is only a 6 month committment under the Edge program so, its not like I will be stuck with it for very long.

From my G2x days. I've learned one thing. Never, ever, ever buy another LG phone. Never.

As an owner of a G2 everything about it with the exception of the build quality is pretty flawless, battery life is excellent!!!!!!

Battery life is excellent on both phones so no compromises will be made in that regard. As for the predictive text, both phones have it in their stock keyboard, but you could always download a third - party option like Swiftkey from the Play Store.

No offense but isn't build quality a pretty important thing?

It's like saying "well the Kia is as good as a Toyota Camry except the build quality" to me that's a big "except"

Everyone has there own opinion on build quality though. As a previous owner of a gs2 and a gs3, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the build quality of the g2...at least compared to other Samsung devices. And of course that's my opinion. As far as the predictive typing, I got spoiled by SwiftKey and immediately installed it on my g2 after trying the stock keyboard first. Good luck with your decision :)

LG G2

The battery life on the G2 won't be an issue. I usually get between 7 and 9 hrs on screen time. And the build quality is not any worse than on the Note 3.

If your willing to give up a beautiful display (Not saying the G2 display is bad) But common Note 3 is all Display and a pretty damn good battery life also.

I purchased the LG G2 for my mother last week. It's not a bad phone, and I must admit that the keys on the back are a nice touch, especially since it seems that most people accidentally turn the phone off or lower the volume when handing it off to someone else. For me the biggest thing that drew me to the Note 3 is my ability to use remote desktop with the added screen size. I can actually do things from my phone that I used to have trouble doing with my prior phone, thus I used to carry around my phone and my tablet. I don't have those issues with my Note 3.

Same here. I got the G2 for my mom and she loves it. I had some time with it and it's not a bad phone, in fact, I find that some of the features are second to none such as Knock on.

Ya kidding me bro? The G2 had one of the best panels in the mobile industry last year, whereas the Note settled for the same old crap-oled as always. The G2 has true whites as opposed to yellowish whites on the Note 3, and it doesn't have such gaudy colors as the Note 3. It also has about 40 more PPI. It's also brighter by a ton. Yeah the G2's panel is nothing to scoff at.

Why you mad? It's my opinion, No matter how many pixels the G2 to has the note 3 still looks better from my view. :-)
