Thinking of trading my X for DI, any thoughts or others who switched?

I've looked at the non-HTC UI and I don't like it at all. I really do like Sense. And I absolutely loved my Dinc until the November update from VZW. Since then I've been stuck with a "Low on Space" condition and my phone is mostly useless. I'm not sure what phone I would recommend right now, but it wouldn't be a Dinc.

The November update was junk. You're best bet is to use unrevoked and root the thing, then if you liked the stock phone, use virtuous ROM, or read the hacks section on how to downgrade the OS to before the update.

It might be possible to roll back, but you will lose all your data and apps. Like a factory reset. If you root, you can back everything up.

I owned my phone for 5 months before I rooted. It seemed like a crazy, computer nerd thing to do, but it's the best thing I ever did. Unrevoked took 3.5 minutes and it was done.

Had my Incredible for a while now and absolutely loving it.

I develop linux apps for a living so I am a power user to say the least and this device rocks for sure.

Just glad to be done with that brick. Worst design of hard buttons I've ever experienced on anything in the history of my life!

I have only played with an X for a short period so I can't give an honest assessment there. If you go with the Incredible do get an extended battery. I have a 2150. I can get about 10 hours of "awake" time, which ends up being about 19 hours of "up" time. I'm on 3g at work though, not wifi. wifi would mean better battery life.
