I picked up one for my wife... I am impressed. This is a nice phone. There are a few quirky things about it, and I cannot understand the lack of NFC and 5ghz wifi. So, I am not suggesting it is a slam dunk... but, nevertheless, I like this phone.

It looks good. The voice quality is very, very good. The size is just about perfect. The camera(s) are nice and picture quality is also really good. Battery life seems to be stellar.

After installing the Google Now launcher, it feels like an Android. Stock, it is an iPhone wantabe.

I wish it had a better display. But, it isn't bad... it just feels budget.

Thinking about the price point, I'd have to say this is a great phone for the money. I'm glad we purchased it. Once it gets the Nougat update, I am expecting really good things. Including wifi calling on T-Mobile (hint, hint John Legere).

If you are considering the purchase for a basic smartphone user, this is it.

Thank you for your review! I've definitely heard good things about the Honor 6X. Glad you and your wife are satisfied with your purchase!

I picked one up for my daughter (16, doing my best not to spoil her) and I agree. No real standout features but all around very solid, and whilst it doesn't quite have the specs or build quality of the high end flagships it is well under half the price. Definite thumbs up from me.

I like a lot of things about the 6X, but I'm very surprised that it doesn't have NFC or 5GHz WiFi.

I didn't do my homework and I bought one during the first Flash Sale only to find those two features missing.

I'm thinking about trying a
ZTE Blade V8 Pro. They list for $20 less than the 6X and have both features.

5ghz wifi is a big deal for me because there are lots of Wi-Fi networks near me. Otherwise it looks like a great choice though for $40 more you can get an honor 8 which is better featured.

Good purchasing choice, for sure! And a good phone for a sixteen year-old, in my opinion! :)
