This "phone" is EVERYTHING.

seems like a good phone. Smart *** idea putting the speakers in front. 64gigs(not really 64) alot of space, still would prefer a sd card....and the answer is not the cloud!!!! you cant get the the cloud if you have no service or wifi.i work in the basement in a hospital. i have nothing so the cloud is a no go for me,big deal breaker,,,,,,and if you dont have a strong signal forget about the wait to load ,,,,,smh

Except for the no SD expansion and mediocre, non-removeable battery.

These are two things you never hear the iPhone camp complaining about. But over on team Android it seems to be a huge deal. Expandable SD is only an issue if the phone only comes in one storage size(16GB) like many of the S3, and OneX variants in the states. With 32, and 64gb of on board storage this seems like a non issue to me. As far as removable battery, I always have a car charger, and a regular charger with me. Plus it would be a pain to remove the phone case every time anyway. I need to hit up AT&T, and try this phone out!

OK. We get it. You have bad taste in tech. You don't need to keep posting on a thread, putting down what's clearly a great device to express your dissatisfaction in being born with such a tiny pen!s. If you prefer Samsung's inferior displays, crap-plastic build, and irrelevant-for-2013 removable memory and battery, then settle for less and be happy with it. Smarter folk will stick with HTC and enjoy having a superior device. Here endeth the lesson.

Now I agree with the most part except the Samsung part. Low key u are doing what he is doing which is judging a product before even owning or trying one. And YMMV but the removable battery is a lifesaver at times. HTC is a good company so is Samsung. Lets have consumers pick which one is best.

This is one phone I could see myself sticking with for 2 years (long as devs and HTC support it )

Agreed. I'm so impressed with this phone. I'm not sure what they could release that would make me wanna give it the boot. I love my new HTC One.

Everytime I think about it and hold it, the song entitled "One" by Joy Zipper comes to mind.

The S3 was a more refined product compared to the One X. Now, HTC has caught up and both the One and the S4 are brilliant and refined. The One X may have left a bitter taste in your mouth, but the One shouldn't be the same. I think both phones would do a great job for anyone, but for me, I can imagine sitting down with the One and using Blinkfeed, adoring the design and enjoying Beats Audio. However, I don't think many people will use the S4 'value adds', nor will they adore the plastic design or have much to brag about when compared to the S3 or the One. My moneys going towards the One when my contract expires, but both these phones would be excellent.

Note: This post is in reply to Darkoman4. Sorry for the incorrect format!

All is really subjective. I liked my One great device but the button layout and multi tasking issues i experienced are not going to work for me. Back on my gs3 till the 4 comes out and i actually like the feel of it better. Just feels more natural in my hand then the One did so its alike subjective really

I haven't made up my mind if I'm leaving Verizon. T-mobile barely has coverage in the part of Charlotte I live in. And now Sprint will have LTE here.

I've been on Sprint for many years now, and I've always found their coverage around Charlotte pretty good. Not sure if its been announced "official" yet, but they have LTE in a majority of the city and surrounding areas now. I work on Sardis, not far from Independence, and they turned LTE on up there about three weeks ago. Speed-wise, I can't really compare since I've only used Sprint. Its probably not the fastest LTE, but it gets the job done for my needs. So far, I'm seeing 5-8Mbps inside our office building. I've seen 10+ around town in a few places around Pineville/Ballantyne/Steele Creek areas. I live down in Rock Hill, where we are still only 3G (no surprise there), but generally good signal. In my experience, of the whole CLT area, the southern-most area into SC is usually the slowest development as far as data speeds are concerned, but ordinary voice coverage has never been a problem for me. The coverage map shows LTE getting close, so hopefully it continues spreading south a little.

Anyways...unless you need absolute max download speeds, I wouldn't be afraid to try Sprint over coverage concerns around CLT. I got my One on Friday and have been blown away so far! ;)

I've had exceptional speed with my one and location I live which is near Kansas city.

This is my big worry and why I've stuck with Nexus devices after leaving the Nexus One for the Thunderbolt. The added charge on T-Mobile won't be a backbreaker but dam if I'm not wary having been burned to a crisp over my T-Bolt.

I've contemplated getting the One when my contract renews but still continue buying and selling my Nexus devices. The cost is minimal for Nexus so even if I sold my Nexus 4 for around $250 I'd be able to get a N5 without much of a hit. And I'd still have the One to play with.

Sprint LTE is worse than 3G from the other three carriers.

At My house we do not Have LTE from sprint yet but driving home from work I ran a speed test in Livermore CA, LTE was incredible 13MB down and 8MB up, Ya ok so not the speeds some carriers have but still impressive and to think that in the heart of the bay area some people still only get 2mb down on their DSL and this is called broadband.

I agree. I have had mine for 3 days now and I can't put it down. It's the most sexy phone I have ever seen and the best phone I have ever used. This things oozes quality. This puts my S3 to shame, and it makes it seem 5 years old compared to this beauty. The phone is just amazing, from the gorgeous screen, which is hands down the best screen I have seen on any phone and the colors are very vibrant and accurate. The BoomSound with beats audio is just amazing. It's night and day watching movies, listening to music, or just simple YouTube videos. The stereo speakers are amazing and should be on every phone.

The phone is very fast, and fluid, and no lag. I found the set up to be very easy, and this version of Sense is hands down their best version, they have made tons of improvements since I last used it, and I find it to be better than touch wiz on my S3 which I always found to be too cartoonist. I also didn't have that much of a learning curve, maybe because I have used Sense in the past or just watched so many reviews that I knew what to expect.

I also have not had any problems with battery life and can easily go a full day with moderate to heavy use. It easily rivals my S3 on that front. I know some people have said their phone charges very slow, I have not noticed that, but I do admit I have been mainly charging mine at night which is a good thing, means I made it through the day. The charger is a 1 amp charger and does not have fast charge capabilities, I believe this is because HTC wants to make sure the battery does not go out because it is definitely not replaceable . I have charged it a few times using my Nexus 7 charger which is 2.1 amps and it charges very quickly, but, I would probably not recommend doing that every day, but would be great when you need a fast charge in the shortest amount of time.

I also bought a portable extended battery for long trips which to me is not that big of a deal, I had spare batteries with my S3 and S2 and I very seldom changed them unless I was on a long bust trip or flight, but the portable battery will serve the same purpose till I can get to a outlet if I need one, but I am never far from a outlet anyway from being in my car or at home, so you can get a full day out of this. Right now i'm at 70% and have been on battery for almost 7 hrs. It also has a power save mode where you can set it if you need to squeeze a few more hours from your phone. You can tweak it to suit your needs, it will under clock your CPU to help conserve battery, dim your screen, and cut off vibration, and auto sync, or you can pick which ones you want it to do, for mine, I have it under clocking my CPU and auto sync cut off.

I also have been testing out blink feed and so far for a first version it's nice. I know some people don't, I can't see why, but you can do several things, you can not use it or change your launcher. It does not impact battery life that much, I have it set to auto update only on WiFi, and I can sync it myself If I like on 3G. The camera is great just like they said, the update they did to the phone before release fixed any issues that it had before. I have not used Zoe yet, so no comment on that feature, but will in the coming days.

I think that HTC has a winner here. If they can continue to make some great accessories, and more importantly update this phone in a timely manner and for several years, more people will give them a chance. As far as this version of Android being 1 behind, I don't have a issue with it because the newer version is a little buggy, and I have some minor issues on my Nexus 7 and S3.

If anyone has any specific questions please feel free to ask. For those on the fence, don't be, it's the best phone out there.

I didn't even know when this phone came out! I just wanted to leave telus and switch to another company and I checked out the one and was SOLD! The headphones that come packaged with it too are pretty loud! Actually the best packaged headsets that I've gotten with a phone. Before this I had an s2x (same as tmobile s2) and I thought I'd regret it but I love the phone. I have NO idea where my remote is lol. The camera is pretty good in low light and the phone is actually VERY SMOOTH no lag at all yet. Does anyone think a screen protector is useless? Also does anyone know how to claim the 25 gb of storage with dropbox? Great JOB HTC!

PS. Battery off charger at 10am and at 5pm its at 43 percent with heavy texting and moderate app usage. Pretty good because I was worried about leaving my MUGEN power battery with the s2.

To get your 25GB all you have to do is log in to your Dropbox with the device and you should get an email shortly after telling you your increased limit.
And about the screen protector, I personally won't be getting one. The screen just feels too good, and I'm hearing they decrease sensitivity with the buttons.

Except for the no SD expansion and mediocre, non-removeable battery.

Funny thing, never ever used an extra battery in any of my phones. If I have to carry extra power, I carry a fast charge battery, plug it into my phone and bam done. I get at least 10 hours every day with no additional charge on the One, about 1 hour more then my IP5 was getting. As for sd card, there is a kickstarter project that adds a sd card port to the battery area. I was the manager for a small sports company years ago and I remember when we upgraded for $15K to a 20G drive. So, for me 32G in crazy big.
