I just received my black model today from Verizon and wow. This phone is gorgeous. Great to hold in the hand and feels very fast. Cant wait to test everything out !!!

Just curious, how do you turn the screen off/on, without picking up the phone and hitting the rear button?

Yes it is a very nice device. I had a moment of weakness and was going to order the s8 plus but I decided to keep the G6. I like this to much.

I didn't care for the S7e, I've handled the G6 twice and really liked it. I prefer a flat screen any day. My only concern was I had to turn it up to 80-85 on brightness to get it bright enough for me. My Note 4 only requires 50% to achieve the same. My guess is turning the brightness up that high will seriously drain the battery?

Just like the V20

Some of us haven't used a device without a power button on the side. Hell some of us have never owned an LG before either, but I'm strongly considering the G6.

Nothing but iPhones and Samsungs in the past for me.

I have the same problem. Is just not bright enough. I have to set mine to 95% yo get it the way I'm used to in other phones and yes the battery takes a big hit for that. I wonder if all have the same screen problem

Doesn't make sense. Maybe coming from Samsung? G6 Phone is 600 nits. That's one of the best. I have a 6p which doesn't reach 400nits and I keep mine at 50%. You are killing your battery. Unless your in direct sunlight and need it at full

My thoughts it's just a number provided by the OS and it's still the same amount of produced lumens for the preferred level. If it's the same brightness but this phone shows it's a higher percentage on its slider that's just there calculation. Would still run the battery the same I would think.

No, mine is really way too dim even at 100%
I wonder if I just have a defective one. Is supposed to be even brighter this time around.
I've had the s7 edge, pixel xl, iPhone 7 plus and even the oneplus 3t was brighter.

Def something wrong. Go to store and compare asap and exchange if necessary

It's taking some getting used to for me... When I had to give up my Note7 I went to a iPhone 6S+ but I've sorely missed my android. I've never owned an LG smart phone before.

I am liking the LG G6 more versus the S8s. What I like on the G6:

+ dual cameras!
+ LCD display
+ better fingerprint sensor location
+ bigger battery (10% bigger vs S8)
+ better price on Verizon
+ flat display

Didn't really hear much about bootlooping for the v20 and g5. Not too worried because it will have a warranty through Verizon for a year and I have a Verizon government account where I still pay subsidized prices and get to upgrade yearly.
