This thing will NOT root

I am completely losing my mind. I have tried every single root method out there, and CANNOT get it to permanently root.

1. Visionary/ Root.rar- Everything appears to go as described, but it will NOT go to S-off. I tried it both per this guide and the XDA guide.

2. Visionary/ gFree- I get all the way to the last step and it says "./gfree permission denied

3. There was another method similar to theses using different file sin the data/local folder, this also appreaded to work as described but would not turn s-off.


I am completely at my wit's end. Anyone out there able to help? I've done factory rests, battery pulls, restarts, followed the guides to a t. I have no clue what i'm doing wrong. Please help, it's sad for a 22 y/o man to cry. lol.

I have no idea how to find that. I'm trying, and when I figure it out I will let you know. I appreciate the reply!

On the hboot screen it says eMMC- boot

No, you need to know what specific eMMC chip you have. When I get home I'll post a link to where you can find out what chip you have.

I couldn't get adb to work either, so i just returned the dang thing and got a sensation
