Those of us with 2.1

Alright so since the update is possibly sometime today and I have 2.1v3 does this mean I will not get the update? In the "check for system updates" screen? Or will it still recognize that a newer version on 2.1 is out and I need that one and it will overwrite my 2.1v3?

If so, what is a good way to mess up my phone without damaging the outside or water damage so I can get a new one from Verizon?

MR2 was the 1st update to 1.x. That is very old. That was the update from last year for the Eris that fixed a few bugs but was not really a version change. It came out within the first few months of the release of the Eris.

I would like to know this too. All I want to know is are we going to see an update or will it pass us up since our firmware is 2.1 already? lol

leak 2.1 is unknown.

Rooted 2.1 can easily downgrade back to 2.1 for OTA. Not sure if you can get the 2.1 OTA with the full root 2.1. But it was posted that you can downgrade back to 1.X with the 2.1 ROOT.
