My 6P has been great for me since getting it at the beginning of December. However, ever since the May update, I've been having issues with the headphone jack, both with music play back and voice calls.
While streaming my library via Play Music, if I have the phone in my pocket and I come into contact with the top of my headset (bending down to pick something up off the floor, for example) it causes a song to either pause midway through, or trigger Google Now. Even if the Play Music app is inactive, and just in memory, a paused song will resume creepily upon slight contact.
Similarly, if I'm on a voice call, coming into contact with the headset will either mute the call, or end it all together. HIGHLY annoying, as you can expect.
This is apparently a known issue on Google Code. Though it is listed as resolved, it persists with some, myself included. I decided to take it to Google Support, and after some troubleshooting, the rep offered an RMA since I'm under warranty and have Nexus Protect.
My question is, if you've recently done an RMA, how is your replacement device? I'm aware at this point that it will be a refurbished phone, but since other than this issue my 6P has been flawless, I'm concerned about quality. Granted, this original device was manufactured on Halloween, but I'm still wary. It should be in by Monday. Shared experiences are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Edit: I should mention that this issue is not due to a faulty headset, as I have purchased a new one, and it still persists.
