If you're planning on keeping the phone for 3 or 4 years, 512 is a wise choice. If you get a new phone every year, you'll probably never fill it, unless you're on flights very often and like to keep a large library of full-length movies on your phone. (I've always been a software junky, and in addition I install a lot of apps just to see what people are asking about, then forget to uninstall them - and still have more than half of my 128GB phone unused.)

1TB on a phone? I only have about 600 apps in my NAS - that wouldn't come close to making a dent.

I got the 1TB for the same price as the 128 GB so it was a no brainer :) Will never be able to fill it up until I change to a new phone but it feels nice to have the extra ram at least :)

Sounds like a great deal. I thought I did good getting a 512 for the same price. The 1TB model is way overkill unless you really need the storage and at the moment the extra RAM doesn't buy you much except keeping more program running in the background. Since you got it at a bargain it's a no brainer.

Yup I have 412GB left. Not sure what I'd do with 1tb.

I'm in a similar situation. I'm only using 86GB.
I like hi-res audio files but I'd have to work at it to fill it with those from my entire music collection. Those files are actually well suited for external storage because speed isn't a factor for playback.
Maybe I'll fill it by taking more video now since the S10 video is better than what I have experienced with the Pixel 3XL.

Heh, I've been wondering the same thing. I have the 128 GB S10+, but I have a 256 GB SD card from Samsung due to the whole Note 7 fiasco, which I use to keep photos, videos, downloaded Spotify, etc. Still have 218 GB left. Hopefully that'll be plenty of space for all the 4K HDR videos I edit with Adobe Premiere Rush. Whenever that comes out. :)

You can always add a 512 card. They have dropped a bit in price. Just make sure you get one that's fast enough to support whatever running whatever you put on there.

I would be going NUTS filling it up, lol! I actually hold back and erase some things so I don't fill up too quickly. Between music and digital comics alone, I'm currently around 468gbs. I've recently split them up though since I got my S5E. 1Tb, Jesus.....I know getting that stuff out when you switch to a new device would suck BIG TIME! lol

Why, when the phone lets you put in a memory card?

In fact, I would argue that a memory card is a better way to add storage--put all photos and music and whatever documents you want on there, so that you can simply move it from phone to phone as needed. Maybe you buy a new phone every year, or maybe you'd like to be protected if your phone breaks and you suddenly need a new one, etc.

Internal storage in that case is required--required--only for apps. How many apps are you going to use? Are you going to fill a 1TB phone with apps (and, worst case, offline Google maps)?

I've moved the memory card from phone to phone for awhile now, and it just makes sense. It's why I'm not interested in a phone that doesn't have a card slot.
