Thought 7.1.1 was rolling out today [12-5-2016] for Nexus 5X, others?..Ha, It's here

Is there anyone who is in the beta program who has received this update? It's possible it's not being released to beta program phones. I'm in the beta and have not received, my brother has a 5x not in the program and has received the December patch.

Though I don't have a Nexus 5x, I DO have both a Nexus 6p and a Pixel C on the Beta program on 7.1.1, and NEITHER of them have received the December update, thus I'm figuring that because the last beta update is a NEWER release (has a later build date) than the official update, we must wait for Google to formulate a build that is newer than what we presently have before we can get it, otherwise it would be a downgrade. Perhaps they will either just eventually send a December security patch to us or update everyone to the same level in January.

This is my opinion, nothing more.

I promised to let every one know when I got the Android 7.1.1 OTA. Last night, as I was getting ready for bed, it came in. I downloaded it and installed it. Obviously, I haven't used it much but the only difference I've noticed so far is the absence of the flash screen saying I'm running Android 7.1.1 Beta. Now, I'm debating doing a factory restore.

Woke up this morning, and saw downloads available for both my Nexus 6p and my Pixel C, both of which were on the Beta Program. Both are now updated and working perfectly.

I finally got it last night as well. All is well so far. I'm also thinking about doing a hard reset but will see how it's running first.

Just noticed that my device has the NMF26F version with the Dec security update this morning (I'm in the Beta program).

So far, seems just as nice as the previous version....fast and smooth.

OK, seems like good place to put this as any:

My understanding was: if you flash an image it stops getting auto updates PLUS you can't sideload an update.
Since I both flashed an image and sideloaded an update... My understanding is obviously wrong.
What did I get wrong?

PS- 7.1.1 runs well

I went ahead and did a factory restore. I'd forgotten how easy it is. I had to download a wallpaper app to get my solid black wallpaper and a ringtone app to get ringtones for the mostly deaf and I had to reset some settings, which I rather enjoy.

Now, I have renewed my futile oath to not screw around with the phone and totally screw up the settings again.

Yup, still on Nov 5th patch. I'm guessing Dec release will drop by Jan 4th. I've received all the prior patches with no issue.

Got tired of waiting, so enrolled the 5X in the beta program and immediately received 7.1.1 as well as the December security patch. Unenrolled with no wipe, no loss of data. Now on build NMF26F and everything working great.

I thought about that, but I'm really curious to see what happens if I do nothing.

Normally, that's exactly what I would do, but I was even more concerned about the lack of the security update than the lack of the OS update. It just seems odd that so many people have not received an update that was released on December 5th.

Granted, it could just be a roll-out issue, though I find it hard to believe that Google could have so few servers dedicated to handling updates that it is taking over a month to roll this one out.

Me, I got the Android 7 beta, Android 7, Android 7.1.1 beta, and then Android 7.1.1. It all worked well for me.
