Thoughts on 4.4 Kit Kat on the Moto X

Next time I am in a conference and tweak the settings, I will, but you'll have to wait until next year (or when I fly to Aruba in 2 months).

When you go into the quick toggles (two fingers down from the notification bar) it will show the Wifi symbol as orange if it is connected but no internet while it will show white when connected and internet available.

I guess that's better then nothing, but to me, it's a real PITA to do that over just glancing at the top of the phone to see what the situation is. I can understand why they did it, but it still doesn't make it any less disappointing. I may hold off on updating for awhile cause I know this is really going to bother me.

My battery life about the same .
As far as performance goes its seems about the same,even tho they optimized Kit Kat .It runs great on my MX.
I dont mind the white icons or the way it shows connection.
I dont check it with the 2 fingers pulldown btw.
I can see when the icons are white or grey. For example when WiFi's connect shows that icon white and 4G icon grey(on vzw's model)
I like the fact that I can use Google Wallet without vzw being able to block anymore. I think this is the first time I used Wallet on a non rooted phone.

The only thing that really bothers me about it is I find myself out of habit just glancing at the white symbols and thinking, "Oh crap, what's wrong with my internet" and just about the time I start to go into the settings I remember its supposed to be like that.

Can someone pleaseeee tell me why my moto x does not connect to my OS X 10.9.1anymore it says not connected! but it used too! plus does anyone else get the same problem (my silent option does not silent "okay google now" and it speaks the response!!, but before the kitkat it would show the answer with no sound- be cause i put it on silent)!

I liked 4.2.2 better on the X but was forced to update when I got my replacement. What sucks now is the status bar icons being white and the att branded Phone having the att letters always in the status bar. I am also noticing some more lag then I had on my past x

It didn't always say at&t? I went a period of time right before the update where I wasn't using the phone but I thought it had done this since day 1.

Not on my unlocked X I got from Amazon it was carrier free. This stupid att one does I hate it
