thoughts on the V20?

Does the DAC actually produce higher volume through the headphones compared to non-DAC devices?

They said it has twice the output power of any other phone on the market. So yes, more volume. Especially with harder to drive headphones.

To clarify, every phone that has a headphone jack has a DAC. LG just put a REALLY GOOD one in the V20.

Thanks for the clarification.

Not "very easily", just "easier" than the other finishes.

I think any technology lover would naturally want to give the new iPhone a go. It's more than a simple refresh that's for sure. Caught me way off guard.

People here talking about how "boring" and "plain" the V20 design is and the iPhone 7 looks just as plain and boring yet people are clamoring all over it. Why? Because it's Apple and some people think they can do no wrong. They could have taken the same guts from the iPhone 6 and slapped it into that new "jet black" shell and it would have still sold like candy. Sad.

I don't think the V20 looks boring at all.

It's a personal preference. Personally, I don't think sleek or stylish. I think sterile, clinical, and unimaginative. I find a lot of modern design styles like that. Sometimes they are cool and other times I wonder if the designer lives in a pristine white room with their air freshener spritzing out the perfect level of fragrance de phermaldihyde.

Disappointed in US Carriers won't be offering us B&O Play H3 Earphones.

During the presentation they said in the US as a limited time offer you would receive them when you purchase the v20. Sounds like a pre order bonus to me.

Not this technology lover. I can't justify wasting time on a phone that can't meet my needs.

Exactly. I have never nor ever will see the hype for an Apple iPhone. Not starting a war here but just stating my opinion. Android just always has my attention.

Not so much boring as 2016-generic. It looks like someone's idea of what a 2016 phone should look like, rounded corners, metal body and all. To me, the V10 looked cooler in part because it was out of phase with the rest of the pack.

Sorry Kev but no way! I'm a tech lover and can honestly tell you that I will never ever want or need any Apple product. Haven't since my Commodore 64 days actually! Not even an ipod when they were a 'thing'. They are great for others but Apple's ecosystem is too restrictive (and proprietary!) for my use.

I used to think that too, but then I actually tried it. It's not near as bad as the haters would have you believe. At the very least you'd have a new appreciation for Android. :)

The biggest hurdle is sharing between apps. It's doable, but nowhere near as fluid as intents (basically functionally equivalent though).

Does anyone have a sense of what the display brightness is compared to the N7? I can't seem to locate anything online yet.

I've never been swayed by what others think about them. I've played with them and troubleshooted issues with family and friends devices as best as I could being 'the tech guy' and I've always left frustrated as to why they do things the way they do. Perhaps I'm too 'PC' to use their products...who knows. I will admit though that they make very sleek and streamlined hardware! No doubt there! You're also right about having an appreciation for Android after using them as well! :)

Sharing between apps in Apples ecosystem?!? I wouldn't know but yes, that would annoy me if so!

Word play is fun ^_^.
