The steel sides were smooth and slippery on the V10....didn't actually provide the best of grips either. And the absurd colors? Since when are black and silver "absurd colors" ? Lol I think 99% of phones are that color. But whatever, the V20 isn't going to be a phone for you and that's perfectly OK. You gotta go with a phone that meets your needs for every day use and for you, that isn't the V20... but hopefully that phone comes along in the future or you can continue to be happy with the V10.

Personally not big on the design. I think the V10 looked much more unique and distinctive. The V20 just looks kinda generic and a little uninspired.
But that's just my opinion. Overall, I think the V20 is a solid alternative to the likes of the Galaxy Note7, especially for those who want a big phone but also want a decent-sized removable battery and don't really care for a stylus.
I just hope LG doesn't mess up the launch for this by launching it way too late.

Oh, I didn't know that they came out with black. One negative corrected. The grip on the back is what mattered the most. A solid metal body will not be something that I can keep a firm grip on.
I sincerely hope so, but as of right now no such phone exists or has been announced.

Well, so far the T-Mobile rep who leaked specs and pricing in August has been correct with his information and if he's also correct that the phone will come with an extra battery and a "hand grip" attachment then I think you're going to be seeing a back similar to what the V10 has on the V20.

I'll definitely interested in what freebies will be coming with the v20 on different carriers. I'm assuming we'll get a free battery kit, and apparently the b&o play earbuds should come with pre orders as well.
It's interesting that the US variants apparently won't receive the b&o audio tuning. Not sure how much difference it would actually make, but it might be nice to have. I wonder if the unlocked version from b&h will have this..

When Android brought out native OS fingerprint scanner support with version 6, all problems went away. The absence of steel rails has nothing to do with the FPS.
In 2016 3200 is a slap in the face. It's either revised note 7 or iPhone 7 for me.

Phone looks good, but as always with LG, there's always that ONE major thing that always makes me say, "who in the world had the final say on THAT"?! This time, its the color choices....So bland....That black back iphone 7 looks sleek in black metal, LG should have AT LEAST offered solid black instead of boring grey... sick of grey / silver phones!

With a fully removable back, we will probably see thicker extended batteries and replacement backs.
If you don't like a thicker phone and want more juice, you can stick with the 3200 mah battery and just swap it out. Samsung needed to keep the battery smaller in order to please the majority who want slim phones. At the same time, by having a fully replaceable back, it will allow people to have a bigger battery at the expense of slimness.

They must have signed all the reviewers to non-disclosure agreements and gave them early access to the device since the timing of the announcement made it difficult for the reviewers to get from the IFA to San Francisco.

Well, to add some fairness to this comparison, the Note7 has a larger internal battery than the V20 (3500mAh vs. 3200mAh).
However, the V20's unit is removable and due to the removable back, it's easier to slap on a bigger aftermarket battery with a modified rear shell. It's not as elegant or sleek, but if you're the type who wants nothing but power, maybe you're not the type who cares about aesthetics.
The closest the Note7 has to that is a 3100mAh backpack, which I think is pretty slick. Works almost like the one on the Moto Z in terms of how you use it, though it charges the device wirelessly. Obviously not exactly the same as an actual large battery, but it's a cool thing.
A fun fact: The Note is 0.2mm thicker than the V20.

It's just 300mah shy of 3500. Maybe they improved efficiency to allow the audio features? None of you know for sure but the bonus is you can swap in a fresh battery and boot up in about a minute or 2 at the extra cost of $30-$40.
It's a very slim battery and sure beats needing an outlet to plug into or an external battery pack!
But yes, no matter what you can't make everyone happy. For all the gaming I do, swapping in a new battery for the V20 is a heck of a lot better than needing to charge up again on a Samsung or iPhone.

The phone isn't attractive.
The ram is just as you would expect. No better no less. 4gb seems standard these days.
The battery is super average and I'm not the type of person to walk around with battery's in my pocket.
The best thing about this phone is the audio Imo. If you all say the camera is good I'll take your word for it.
Having had to replace my v10 twice because of boot loops and hardware issues LG is saying NOTHING right now to win me back for the V20.
And the phone is significantly uglier. How does that happen?
Damn and I just realized. No chance in hell is this phone water resistant either. These are perks I need in my life in 2016.

So you want a 500 mAh smaller battery or a 300 mAh larger battery, but not the one near the middle of those two?

Yep I noted in a later post that they included three different focus methods where the G5 only has two.
Hopefully it's close to Samsung focus speeds.

I did some thinking about that and you know what it doesn't matter. We can still get our 4000mAh battery via third party vendors. They make higher capacity slim batteries already for the V10 that give you 3900mAh or so and is the same size as the stock battery. Give it a few weeks and we can get our removable 4000mAh batteries without having to add extra bulk to the phone. Win win!
