To get the free 3 months you would first have to cancel your current and then enroll to the free 3 months. Otherwise I don't think they can do it any other way.

The danger there is if it doesn't work I don't think you can add Samsung care+ back on your phone. Isn't that something you add when you order phone, you can't add it later?

I added mine after I got the phone. I think you have 60 days after purchase or something. Maybe less... I canceled and readded the plan.

I added Samsung Care just yesterday because of this offer. I didn't order with the phone since I don't like to pay for phone insurance and will cancel this once 3 months free is over.

You can just go to the Samsung Care website and provide IMEI or serial number and add it post purchase within 60 days. Below is the fine print from Samsung Care website.

"Sign up to Samsung Care+ within 60 days of purchase of your eligible handset"

For those that buy unlocked versions can't get the Verizon plan.

That's interesting. I was told that if I were to file a claim on the Verizon plan with an unlocked phone it would be denied and I would get the premium refunded. That's typical Verizon, 4 reps and 5 different answers.

Who knows. It was offered when I activated the phone on my Verizon account so I took it. I won't starve if I had to buy another Fold full price. So they can charge the $7.95/mo and ill cross the bridge when I get there.
