Guess I just answered my question, went and looked again and saw a tab for tablets.will all the apps in the adroid mkt, work on the Thrive? are there some for tablets and some just for phones?
and if so how do you know which is which?
The new tablet optimized words with friends is free, and they improved the UI so much over what they had before.
For fun I like Google Sky and Google Body.

Has anyone that has the thrive now, added any apps? games? any that worked or didn't?
Thanks.
Yes sir words is in the market and its optimized for tabs. The adds are annoying but it's free so I can't complain. Thanks for your two Google suggestions; I didn't know of them. Sky is awesome! My grandchildren have been wanting me to play Words with Friends . . . I suppose that's in Android Market?

For a website on the home screen the only way I know is the intent widget that shows your favorites.
Nonie: my wife is playing plants vs zombies on her thrive right now, what types of Apps are you interested in?
No it doesn't come with it, it's only available via the amazon app store. There is a good majong tablet optimized app in the market its a bit pricey but worth it if you play alot.Is that one that came on the Thrive?
I'm interested in Mahjong and maybe angry birds, a game like Yahzee, bejewled. Mostly games as you can see. lol.
Have you'll tried the facebook app?

If I understand your question correctly you want to put app shortcuts directly on your main screen? For you that have your Thrive now, can you make shortcuts for your home page, are do you have to have special app to do this. and is there a bookmark for favorites?
You can use the bookmarks widget that comes with Android. It displays a small window with each of your bookmarks in it. It also has an icon in the bottom right screen that allows you to pull up your browser.Well, Maybe I didn't explain it right. But like when your on your regular computer and you have a web site, that you go to alot and put a shortcut to it on the desktop. Can you do that on the Thrive?
Does that make sense?

Hi, I have been playing with my Thrive, so far everything is going ok. Still looking and enjoying,
I do have a question about Calendars, I can't seem to add anything to it, it keeps asking me to open an account. I tried it and it says that account is already there.
What am I doing or not doing? any one have any ideas about it?
Haven't downloaded any games, still looking, still not sure about the permissions. What do you'll look for in the permissions and feel safe with?
A serious paranoid I am, so be forewarned.I so far haven't downloaded software that wants permissions to my Contacts or access to my phone number or serial number. I also haven't downloaded software that brings ads to my tablet or phone (because ads can silently bring in malware). I admit I am more picky/careful than the majority (but my caution has definitely paid off).
The bottom line: You must decide at which point you are uncomfortable.
P.S. I'm not using the Google cal on my Thrive because (since users are required to sign in to their google accounts) it would link my Thrive to my iGoogle. I think all the broken links to my identity make my identity a bit safer. But if you are good with that, then proceed with use of google calendar. I regret that I can't help with your account issue . . . but when I attempted to register my Thrive on Toshiba's site, the same thing occurred: I registered it but it told me my serial number was already registered. So, I clicked to check on my registered devices and my Thrive wasn't listed! Whatever . . .
