Thumb keyboard on the Xoom

Kept hearing about this keyboard and finally gave it a shot. It's a legit keyboard setup. Definitely keeping this thing. WON'T go back to stock meow.

You need to go into settings and check "supress full screen editing" or something along those lines. That way the text box you're typing in doesn't occupy the entire screen.

The only other keyboard I like better than this one is the Bluetooth one my Motorola which I am typing on right now. This keyboard feels great, and the shortcut keys are awesome!

I love my XOOM. If we can get Flash and a good Office Suite then I will be all set....

The glass theme looks really professional I love it.

+1 for the Glass theme. I hadn't tried the themes yet, but the Glass theme looks really good...it looks stock!

Every time I turn this on I fall farther in love =)

Can't wait for Swiftkey's version though. Any idea of when they are going to roll it out?

This is the keyboard I'm waiting for as well. I have the regular version on my nexus one and it crazy good at predicting what words I'm going to type. I check the market every day waiting for that tablet version I've seen in the videos. It looks kick ass.

+1 for this thumb keyboard app.

Would love to see a "google speech" button to press on the keyboard (like on the stock one).

Typing from the thumb keyboard now can't believe how fast and easy it was to learn. I love It!

So I finally got home and got the thumb keyboard downloaded and installed. Wow this thing rocks. Took a bit to get set up but was totally worth it!!

Documents to go 3.0 is a pretty good office suite. Can create Word, Excel and Powerpoint 2007 files....

I use PowerPoint presentations a lot and it doesn't seem to have many options for displaying them (embedded audio and video don't work at all), much less editing them.

With this new keyboard I definitely will spend the 15 or so dollars on an office suite, I know there are two out there that are pretty decent but I guess that is for another thread.

I downloaded the thumb keyboard and when I was going to set it up, it warned me that it would remember my keystrokes and credit card #'s. Is this something I can erase? Don't care about remembering words but don't like it to remember CC #'s.

It doesn't really remember them, it's just the app has access to all of your key strokes so if the app developer was malicious they could write part of the app to send all of your key strokes to them. So far it's got good reviews... I guess I'm more worried about my password but this app seems legit so far and I haven't noticed any ID theft :)

I can't find the left and right carrot keys anywhere < > I have to switch to the standard keyboard to use them.

Where the heck are they on the thumb keyboard??

Hit the 12# button (lower right part of the keyboard), then shift for the next set of characters, they will be along the bottom

I love Thumb Keyboard as well.

I did however put in a feature request with the author for full keyboard support. By adding the keys for escape, control, alt, function keys, etc so it can be used in terminals for apps like SSH and midnight commander.

I was skeptical at first about this keyboard but now after using it for a few minutes holy smokes do I love it. So much easier to type on my xoom and quicker. For 1.64 or soenthing like that well worth the price. I agree with the people who have said this is the way it should have been. Thanks all!!!

I love this keyboard - first bought it for my DX, and it's great there, too. One of the really nice features of this keyboard is the ability to alter the height of the key rows. I tend to miss the space bar, and keep hitting the B V and N keys instead. In Options, I shrunk the height of the letter rows to 80%, increased the bottom/spacebar row to 120%, and it's great now. Did the same thing on the DX, too, except put the letter rows to 90%. Cut my error rate way down. This is the best $1.65 I've spent on my Android devices, and frankly, should be the standard keyboard.

Great product - Missing ^ Character?

The keyboard is a joy to use, but I can't find the ^ character (shift-6 on a physical keyboard). Any ideas?
