If battery life is a major concern, you won't be disappointed with the iphone.
Have to disagree with you there! Both my wife and I had iphones and your're correct about the long battery life. But that is not the only point on which I base a decision on a phone. I'm not going to be one of those who badmouths the iphone, it really is a nice device and a good choice for some users. But, for me, I wasn't a happy camper with it, there were too many other downsides that overshadowed the lower battery life of android phones. And, to be honest, there is one major thing about the iphone that I will spend a little hate on, and that is itunes. I HATE itunes and that was a major part of the dealbreaker for me. The other was Apple's really bad notification system, those two along with a few other niggling little things made me leave the iphone fairly fast.
On the other hand, my wife loved her iphone and used it for quite a while. When she moved over to Verizon I gave her my old Dinc and she has come to like it a lot but I told her just this morning that I will get her whatever phone she wants. She's going to hold out until summer to see what iphone 5 looks like and then she'll pick a new phone. She really liked the larger screen on my DX and she will either go with a larger screen android phone or she'll get another iphone is the new 5 comes with a larger screen which I think it is supposed to have.
