Thunderbolt Display vs Other Phones

I just wanted to start a topic about the display of the Thunderbolt. What do you guys think of the display?

I came from an original Droid and while the Droid has a better resolution, I definitely think that the Thunderbolt has the better overall screen. It seems as if the screen is brighter and more vibrant than the Droid and the colors are much more vivid. I was just holding it side by side with the Droid.

From those of you that have come from other phones (such as the X) how does it stack up?

I work in IT and have setup Droid X's for other employees and it seems like the Droid X's phone was a lot darker and not as vibrant as the Thunderbolt from what I can remember. Maybe im just bias though

The only thing that was better on my Fascinate was the screen. Outside pictures were awesome as well. Other than that, the TB blows the Fascinate out of the water.

I think the TB has a more vibrant screen. I had the X before this.

That had the AMOLED screen though, correct? Those are the best screens in the business most say.

I am coming from The HTC evo 4g and compared to the Thunderbolt The evo's screen looks washed out compared to the thunderbolts. So i am assuming the TB has darker blacks. But liking the screen so far just not liking the drop calls i been getting all day lol

Yup. It was a good phone. Just to many bugs and Samsung would NEVER push any updates. The screen was unreal tho!!

Loved the screen on the Samsung too, but the software and lack of updates is exactly why I'll never buy another samsung device!

I have the X and there are certain things I like better about that screen (web pages for one)...but overall the screen is more vibrant and colorful on the TB. The X certainly can go brighter as far as the backlight goes, but that isn't all that important because I hate the auto-dimming feature. I set the brightness and leave it alone.

Overall...they are very similar with the slight edge for color reproduction going to the TB.
