That's too expensive for me. I'd do $20 for 5GB. Looks like I'll be buying Tether app.

I would not trust that gents... it says all over everything about the 4G MHS/MBBC that not only is the pricing still TBD, but also that the $20/2GB is not going to be available to 4G devices. It says it so much so that it becomes blaringly obvious.

That's good to know. I'll wait to see what the official pricing is. Though I can't see 4G data being less than 3G.

*ahem* The wizard is revealed to be a fool. This was the response I got from the e-services department when I inquired why they had incorrect information.

"At this point, no changes have been made. So the Hotspot's current cost is $20 for 2GB. If this were to change you would be notified."

Please note that they are correct there. The current cost for ***3G*** Hotspot is $20/2GB. This will not be available on 4G devices. ***You have been warned!!!***

I tell you. Verizon would take a good bit of business from landline companies if they were to do the $30 bucks a month unlimited mhs.

Hell with that! 20 dollars more on top what you already are paying for regular data? it should be unlimited imo.

But doesn't everyone pay a separate fee for having home internet? What is that $60 a month? I agree it should be unlimited.

But not sure why folks who pay for home internet think it should be free. I don't know anyone that has that.

I personally think Verizon Wireless (VZW) should team up with Verizon Communications (VZT) and bring people the LTE equivalent of Clear WiMAX. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

What is the cheapest rate for internet anyway? I'm talking for computers. Is there a $30 a month plan out there?

Looks like Mortiel is right, and I must have taken the price quote out of context. Sorry about that.

Broadwayblues: @VZWSupport any word on 4G tethering price/plans once the Thunderbolt free hotspot offer expires?

VZWSupport: @Broadwayblues That information is not available. Please sign up for email alerts about new products & services at Cell Phones - Smartphones: Cell Phone Service, Accessories - Verizon Wireless *VS

$20/5GB is highly unlikely from VZW. Current VZW mobile broadband price is $50/5GB... So obviously hotspot isn't going to be cheaper..

Notes per Verizons system also state that as of June 16th and OTA update will take place to remove and stop the functionality of the Mobile Hotspot and at that time you will be instructed to contact your phone Administrator and active the montly pricing and accept the terms of the Mobile Hotstop.

I think the cheapest is AT&T, they have a $35 plan that's up to 3Mbps. However that is not fast enough for most people.

I have the comcast economy package. $24.95/month for internet. Its supposed to be like 1.5 down 384 up but my speed tests have never been below 8mb down and 2mb up.
