Thunderbolt Training At Verizon Starts Today during the demo, data/voice was done

The delay is VZW's doing, they want battery life and LTE connectivity beyond perfect. I'm not sure what you mean by revision changes, but here's what I took from the training:

1. Simultaneous voice and data will be LTE/CDMA based.. They knew about the capability of this happening over 3G but it may not be the case anymore.

Its actually technically going over EVDO Rev. A, as BMX has reported. There's a standard called VoRA, which uses pre-existing EVDO Rev A networks and allows for simultaneous voice and data. Its nowhere near as smooth as what it would be if its based on LTE/CDMA, but its still coming.

Fitting that it's raining here! Thunder has struck!

Just wanting to clear something up here in regard to simultaneous voice/data. I kept reading about how the thunderbolt would do voice + data over 3G, which is cool and all, but I've never seen any mention of voice + data over LTE. I know it won't do VoLTE, but it will support voice (1xRTT) + LTE data, correct?

I think the way it's set up now, it's using 3G for voice/ LTE for data.. I can use 3G for voice/data at the same time with very little lag. I do it all the time in store for customers with my phone, I call the demo device and start surfin'..

I'll have to ask one of the network techs if it's really 3G, or 1x/3G.. It would be nice to have VoLTE on here, or even Sense 3.0 with HTCSense.com support.. :(
