Thunderbolt who? How about HTC Pyramid?

@martin - i'm not getting a phone for games, i was just playing devils advocate. and i'm not a tablet user, and don't plan to be. i have a computer. and if i wanted to play games bad enough, i'd get a console.

@tbolt - i'm not upset with verizons line up of phones, but they know they have the best all around coverage, so they don't have to bring out the most cutting edge handsets. that's tmobiles job. ;)

I thought only Honeycomb supported Duel Core.

Anyway BGR tweeted, today, no handsets will be getting Honeycomb. So what's the point of duel core now?

Right now Honeycomb is the only one that supports dual core. But that doesn't mean that handsets won't be getting an OS that does support dual core. Might be Ice Cream Sandwich that does or some other future version.

ice cream sandy might be when dual core becomes the norm. an it will really show what those phones are capable of. until then single an dual will run the same besides gaming.

an chrissy, yea its frozen yogurt. who really knows why, but its a cool way for each version of android beside jus numbers. no one can really get excited over a number version. but start sayin yummy deserts an we get excited like a fat kid

How many subscribers does T-Mobile have, what is the footprint of their "4G" network that is really only 3.5G (like AT&T's 4G which is also 3.5G). Their coverage is crap, hot phones mean very little if you can't use them.

Honestly T-Mobile should partner with Sprint on the WiMax 4G solution if thats possible. They are lagging so far behind, Clearwire is running out of cas$ and maybe T-Mo could help.

Is FroYo frozen yogurt? Why does Google use names of snack foods?

Because it's fun. :) The versions are in alphabetical order and nicknamed after some dessert starting with the same letter. So far we have:

A - No nickname
B - No nickname
C - Cupcake
D - Doughnut
E - Eclair
F - Froyo
G - Gingerbread
H - Honeycomb
I - Ice Cream Sandwich

Alright... how come this thread has not been moved to the "rumored devices" yet?! I posted a thread about the "Saga" in comparison to the Thunderbolt and it got moved. :(

This is just as big of a rumor as the Saga.

Im gonna say that the one after that is "Juice Box"? what do you think?

If you wanna get technical (since you've mentioned this more than once in this thread) the standards body governing what is and isn't "real" 4G has relaxed the definition to include "advanced 3G" which IS HSPA+. Before they relaxed it WIMAX and LTE weren't even included.

The bolded part makes my point for me.

Not to go against what your saying I hear tmo is crap in alot of places. But here in nc in multiple places tmo is great. I no my friends see speeds of 5mb when they do test. But on the road I won't jump on that train until we road rip lol. Seems like verizon is poss the only carrier that has truly got the nation covered AT&T has been good to me on coverage. But there are some week point wen traveling. I don't expect 3g everywhere but I do want some signal in case emergency

After reading about the Pyramid, my decision to do a one year contract with the TBolt was solidified. :) I guess in a year I'll be getting a quadcore, 3D phone at the pace these things are going! Oh and of course, with Android Jello, Jelly Bean, Juice Box, or whatever J name they come up with! LOL

Meh. I'm sticking with VZW like I have for the past decade. VZW never did me wrong, and I really don't care to have the latest and greatest handset all the time. I believe the TBolt will bring me the most value because it can do LTE, and I believe its technology will last me for more than a couple of years. As long as I can lock in the 30 dollar/month plan for 3G and 4G (I already live in a 4G market), I will always be a happy camper! Games? Meh. Angry Birds is more than enough for me :D

That's the ticking clock isn't it? Locking in the 4G price before they change it. If there is one thing VZW is great at, it's changing the price of a plan. They do it ALL THE TIME. 4G is absolutely no exception. I just hate to pay more for a T-bolt than I should and would like to wait it out. Decisions decisions.
