TigerDirect PreOrders starting to ship. More Preorders Available?

Just got off the phone with TigerDirect. My 32GB grey Prime, ordered Nov 22, will be shipping on the 20th. A few on XDA have actually received shipping confirmation numbers for their Primes (mostly 32GB Champagnes).

But here's the really interesting part. TG customer support also said they have 1,000 Primes in their initial shipment, and just over 700 pre-orders have been placed so far l. They didn't specify what combination of sizes/colors make up the 1k order, but said my 32GB Grey was definitely in the first batch.

My keyboard dock on the other hand won't be shipping til the end of the year

At least it looks like there are around 2-300 Primes still up for grabs. Maybe they are about to open up another batch of pre-orders?

There doesn't seem to be a listing for the prime on tiger direct at all?! I did get it to take me to a page with it listed, but there is no way to pre-order it. I am freaking out because I was planning on getting it in store tomorrow, but after talking to a Best Buy employee tonight, the best he could offer was that I should call tomorrow since they are getting a shipment of random stuff in. He doesn't know what's on it, and just said to check.

Anyone have any idea what I should do? I understand getting it before Christmas might not happen now, but how do I ensure I get the next wave of them? Also, if I am oblivious to where to pre-order on TigerDirect, let me know.

The pre-order page was taken down about a week ago. I'm not sure if they are going to open up another batch of orders once they come in or not. What I do know is their customer service rep told me they have 1,000 coming in this week, and only 700 pre-orders placed so far.

Just spoke to someone at Tiger Direct and they said that my 64 gig grey transformer prime should arrive by the second week of January... Ugh! To those who ordered from TD, what combination size/color did you order? Have you heard anything about a shipping date? I ordered mine November 23rd. I guess it'll be "Merry Second Week of January" to me this year...

They aren't taking anymore orders either. Now, I think his story might be a little fishy if people are getting info on shipping but I was really hoping to place an order..... I preordered Nov. 30th with Tiger and got the initial order confirmation ... followed by a back order notification on the 1st, 3rd, and 8th and then nothing! Not a word!

I've emailed them 3 times asking what's the deal and nada! Not 1 reply even blowing smoke up my arse.

Disappointing ... I chose to order on Tiger because I hate Bestbuy ... :'(

They told me 1K TF201's with 700 preorders placed so far. They told another guy on XDA the same thing, plus another 1,000 keyboard docks.

"Just got off the phone with them, they say they have 2k units coming in including keyboard docks. And they have a little over 700 pre-orders so they have plenty of stock."

So looks like they got that number somewhere. I was told a few days ago my Grey 32GB would be shipping Monday. Well now its 4PM (MST), and no shipping notification. When I tried to call Customer Support, it says the wait times to too long, and tells me to call back in a hour, then hangs up. Great...

Yeah, something seems odd about it. I called to see if I could order some of those extra and that's what they told me.... I"ve been very disappointed as of late. I think I'm going to just wait for my 64Gb version, see what others say about them as they arrive over the next month and see what's going to be released during CES this year.

My 32GB Grey ordered on 11/22 shipped today! Tracking info puts it at my office on Friday. Suckers didn't even send me an email notification, had to check my order status on the site and was surprised to see that it had shipped. Finally!

I already have all the USB, and SD adapters, screen/body covers, a case, etc, so now just waiting on the dock.
