TikTok is logging users keystrokes.. wow, what a shocker lol

Its entirely because its Chinese, that's why Huawei products got banned, possible data collection from a foreign government. I highly doubt the Chinese having the data is anymore dangerous than the United States but its politics.

I think that's actually the concern of a lot of people.. U.S. companies have to abide by American law, which means they can't do things like log your keystrokes and clean you out financially etc, but Chinese companies (and the government) can do whatever they want.. what rules do they have to stop them?

These are tense times, and once your info is in foreign hands you're pretty much sol as far as any legal protections go

I get what you're saying, but China has laws and regulations, they differ from the United States but they do exist. Thing is, the United States government has proven abusive on it's data collection itself, breaks international laws, and it's corporations repeatedly get caught breaking laws. I don't trust either government but I'm not about to give up technology.

there's also the old addage that it's only illegal if you get caught... Plus as I said there's the 5eyes. It may be unconstitutional for your government to spy on you, but there's nothing in there about my government or the canadians or australians spying on you then sharing the data with Uncle Sam
