time indicator on notification bar

Stupid question I know but I have to ask even though I'm sure it's been asked before.

I have an AT&T (obviously unrooted) Note 4. Is it possible w/o root to remove the time from the notification bar?

I use a time widget from my Dodol Launcher on my homescreen and I personally think it looks weird with two clocks on there. If not, no big deal. Just curious as I cannot find a setting for this.

I don't believe that's possible if you're unrooted.

I use Nova launcher and there is an option to hide the whole notification bar. Not sure whether dodol has that option.
