Time Randomly Changing? Why?

Okay for some reason my Droid Incredible has decided that it wants to jump ahead 10 minutes of the real time. I have turned the phone off and it was back to the real time but then after part of the day I noticed it jumped ahead again.

Why would this be happening and how do I stop it? I cant be turning my phone on and off 10 times a day. And yes I need the time to be exact.

I noticed this earlier today, as well. A reboot set it back to the correct time. Maybe there is an issue with the timeserver at Verizon?

time jumping

My Droid Incredible also jumped ahead 10 minutes this afternoon. It did the same thing last Friday, except it jumped time zones as well, and changed my "current location" to a city in a foreign country. Taking the battery out fixed it eventually, but I am definitely tired of having to do that. I am assuming this is a network bug since it seems to be happening to more people?

Mine is acting the fool too! My coworkers OGD is correct. WTF!!! My wife's is also correct.

EDIT: I'm bone stock, unrooted BTW.

I've not had the issue either, but the device does get time from the towers. You may be having a local tower issue. Might be worth a call to VZW to let them know about the problem.

I am also having this issue. I first noticed this issue yesterday. It only went up by 3 minutes. I turned the phone off and back on and it corrected the issue. But then today it happened again. This time it was 10 minutes. I turned the phone off and back on and it corrected the issue. It is kind of redundant to have to do this. I am upgrade eligible and now its pushing me closer to upgrade.

Mine did it this morning. My alarm went off and I got up, started getting ready & realized that it was 10 minutes faster than all the other clocks in my house. I rebooted my phone & everything was fine! Maybe Verizon is having some problems with networks all over. Who knows...

Same here. Was at work ten minutes too early. :-P I went into Settings and toggled the automatic time setting off and on. So far so good.

Incredible time

Mine is doing the same thing and I first noticed it Friday the 27th AM. My thinking is it may be a Beautiful Widget issue, since I recently received an update Thursday. I'm going to uninstall BW and see what happens. I will keep you posted.

It appears to be happening on many HTC devices. There is a bunch of posts on HTC's facebook page. I haven't experienced on my Incredible.

I also noticed this yesterday. A reboot fixed it, and I haven't seen it since.

It has been happening to only HTC Android phones. Happened to me about a week ago. Noticed that the time was getting incrementally faster. I just put the time setting on manual and called it a day.

When I was in Cleveland this week, my phone actually switched to Mountain Standard Time in the middle of the morning. A friend's AT&T iPhone did something similar, and I have no idea what could have caused it.
