Timeout automatically sets to "() after inactivity"

A

AC Question

I don't know why but everytime I restart or shutdown my phone, when it turns on the screen timeout automatically sets to "()after inactivity". Anyone knows why and can help me out with this?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Is there actually an option that says "() after inactivity"? It should say "After [n] minutes of inactivity," where n is the duration you picked.

That's very strange -- I've never seen that before. When it's set to that, how long does the phone wait while idle before the screen times out? Is it almost immediate?

Does this persist after a cache partition wipe? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30240
