Anytime know how to change the sound in the timer to something you won't miss?

Unfortunately short of rooting your phone and replacing the timer sound file, you can't. You can try 3rd party clock/timer apps, however.

I did thank you. Using Google clock. Used bk disabler to shut down Samsung clock. Now I have a timer I can hear.
