A quick easy way to keep everything as is after unlocking the bootloader without much time/effort.
[WARN]This process will not backup any settings you have in webtop. This will only backup and restore the phone settings like apps, contacts, emails, texts.[/WARN]
Before Unlocking:
1) First root your phone. I know the instructions for unlocking bootloader say to root after unlocking and you'll still have to do that. You can use the AIO root app and it takes about 90 seconds to root.
- Make sure when you plug your phone into the PC you select charge only more.
- Make sure USB debugging is enabled.
2) After rooted, download and install the bootstrap recovery
- Make sure you've selected to allow apps to install from unknown sources
3) Go into boot strap recovery and make a backup.
Now go through the steps of unlocking the bootloader, rooting, installing a custom recovery, yadda yadda.....
After Unlocking and rooting again:
1) Download and install the bootstrap recovery
- Make sure you've selected to allow apps to install from unknown sources
2) Go into boot strap recovery and restore the backup you made above.
3) You can now delete bootstrap. It serves no point because you can install a real recovery like the big kids
Important: Any issues, questions, comments, bumps, bruises should be discussed in their appropriate threads. Please don't PM questions to me. Thanks!
