Greetings,

I hope this is the right forum. Please move this thread if it's not.

This newbie has been an iPhone user for the past 2 years and is looking to move up. Before doing that though, I'd like to know a few things:

-iPhone has iTunes to buy, download and import music, eBooks, apps and podcast. Is there a similar app for Android?
-Unlike the iPhone, it seems that Android does not need to be jailbroken to hack it for things like syncing its content with your desktop. Is it true?

Granted, I have to do more research and reading before asking stupid questions but I hope you guys can provide a few pointers.:o

Thanks.

Al.

First question I have is would you be staying with ATT?

-No there is no android specific program like itunes for iphone but there are apps that let u dl music and such avail in the market

-No you don't need to be rooted to sync your comp and phone. Simply plug in with usb and put watever you want on (for the most part) and there are options to wirelessly sync as well

How do you expect Android to be a move up? The fanboys will tell you that it is but whether it is or not is really a subjective matter.

...and solutions for syncing with iTunes.

Depending on what you intend to sync, a sync solution may be needed. I wouldn't consider dragging and dropping files to the SD card as "sync".
