So I did a factory data wipe through Recovery and cleared all my caches before installing the new BAMF ROM and I noticed when I rebooted the phone everything was still in the Titanium Backup folder, as well as some other folders I have put in the top level of the device. Is something not working correctly or is this by design so that things like Titanium Backup are not wiped when you do this?

I assume you are talking about the root directory. If so, it functions as your SD card, and does not wipe when you wipe data when flashing a ROM.

Titanium Backup is stored on your internal sdcard or external sdcard (depending on which you device uses/has). This area of the device is normally not touched during a factory reset and wipes so that is why that data still remains.

This is also the same location things like your pictures, music, videos are stored and things you download from the internet via browser.

I just purchase Titanuim Pro and have dropbox installed. I have the latest versions of both apps on stock rom unlocked and rooted. Ive selected to use dropbox in titanium preferences done several backups, uninstalled the apps rebooted and repeated the above still no love. Why are my backups not going to my dropbox account?

check the settings or when titanium will use drop box
by default it will not unless the device is on Wifi, and charging via USB or AC.

in titanium hit preferences > Dropbox Settings > Connectivity modes and Power modes to change that.

Well, I did check connectivity settings which are set to WiFi or 4G, and Power is USB or AC Charger or Battery.

Over night (charging and on WiFi), the Titanium did run and create a backup. I checked the Event log on Dropbox.com, no Titanium backups were uploaded.

Any other pointers? Kind of disappointed, but i'm still hoping it's something I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for your input!

ok i did some digging and they changed how drop box sync works.

it never automatically synced that I ever saw but if you hit the schedule tab and then click run byt sync w drop box u shoud be good
