i am probably the only one that doesnt want to update it. is there anyway to disable the updates?

Why would you not want to update the security measures in your system.. Plus it's got a couple of improvement elements to it..I did it and everything is fine

the empty dish comes when you tap on the OS in settings to get to the nougat logo and a cat will show up on the bottom

Why would you not want to update the security measures in your system[?]

Some people want to be able to root their phones (despite the security and functionality drawbacks of doing so). Some updates (such as the current one) defeat the existing root exploits.

I have noticed a much snappier face recognition, better battery life, and the lag I started to experience is gone

If anything, I feel like battery life has gotten a little bit worse after the update.......

So what changes have you guys noticed after the update?

Me - animation effect is now slightly slower than before. I got mines set to 0.5, it feels like it's on 0.75.
The graphic looks slightly different now? Seems to be slightly enhanced? Pictures are a little slight blurrier but the colors did improved a tad.. weird..
Next I notice my signal bars went down to 1 bar, which is odd.
That's the only difference I can see so far.. What about you guys?

The only change I've noticed is that I worry slightly less about security holes.

I did.. And it still auto downloads.
