Since I got my phone there had always been a noticable "echo" from the phones main speaker. I've compared it to another S7E and noticed only my phone does it. The issue disappears whenever I use ear buds but I can't really show anything through my phone because of the audio quality.
Any ideas on whether this is hard/software? Anybody else have this issue?

Hm that is odd. So the echo is your own voice? Are you sure the person doesn't their side up to loud? I am not experiencing the issue except with a few people who have older phones and it doesn't cancel my voice when I speak through speaker .. eventually it does but there are times I hear myself for a few seconds.

Not my own voice, it's the loud speaker on the bottom that is distorted and echos.

It's probably something in the phone (not user-fixable), but it could be a bad echo-canceler on the telco side or something in TMobile's setup or equipment, so your best bet is to bring it to a TMobile company store.

go to Settings > Sounds & Vibrations >Sound Quality & Effects ( all the way at bottom of page ) > Check if "Surround" or "Concert Hall" is turned on. I have them turned on because I love the echo & surround simulating almost near 5.1 surround quality.

That fixed it, I thought those settings only worked with head phones plugged in though?
