TMobile Largest 4G Network....Unless you have Galaxy S3

Im in the IE and thats one of the reasons I switched from T-Mo to AT&T years ago. Horrible horrible reception, even in my own house. I switched and never looked back.

T-mobile has a lemon policy on there phones if you send it back or are continuously having the same issue they will not send you the same phone after 3 times they will let you choose from any comparible phone. Talk to there loyalty department.

Ohh no, I live in Ontario and I am considering a switch from Sprint to tmo. Are you sure it's really that bad?

Where do you live?

It's not necessarily tmobile. There have been reports by users on other carriers regarding bad signals with the GS3. If you Google it you'll see a bunch of Verizon complaints. I haven't had any issues on tmobile with this phone.

I'm on my 2nd GS3 for this reason. I finally called today and asked them to send me a larger sim card to support my unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus. It'll be a bit of a downgrade in terms of battery, camera, screen etc ... but I simply can't handle the garbage reception of the GS3. Just about anywhere indoors it drops to EDGE and never returns to "4G" without me toggling airplane mode or restarting the device. I guess the good news is that I could sell the GS3 and pay off my phone... which would result in a $20/month savings.

Im in Ontario too. My experience with T-Mo was a few years ago. I can't speak about how reception is now, just that I probably won't use T-Mo again due to my own past experiences.

I'm on my third s3 as well but my device gets great reception now. I live in the bay area and my signal goes from 4g to edge all of the time there. I'm currently moving to Maryland and I get 4g across the whole state. I still love the device though

I'm having the same problem! It's so frustrating. No signal, unable to connect to 4G network. I restart over and over, and the issue continues. I'm pissed!

T-Mobile Galaxy S3 is a pain with bad reception, changed phone and received a refurbished, I paid good money for a good product, why don't they send me an original phone??? I am not happy with a refurbished phone, plus no reception still.

I have the same problem. If I go into a store my signal bars disappear. I live in New Mexico and T-Mobile's signal isn't that strong.

At one point I was considering going to T mobile... Now I've seen this thread I'm glad I didn't especially since I'll have LTE soon... No signal in a building would drive me nuts :o

Samsung S3 is one of the safest for radiation. Which can cause minor issues. The reason the strength is lower is because the radiation is attempting to be redirected away from the user of the phone. Maybe less bars but also a win on RF doses of radiation. T-Mobile's voice over IP from my stand point seems to work perfectly with not much glitches. You don't want to be hoovering directly over a wireless router though. It generally comes completely free. You can do all free voice and messaging over any WiFi. It is kind of great actually. If I am in a completely cell phone dead zone. I can just turn on my WiFi and the entire service starts using everything over the internet connection I connect too. Basically I could go in flight-mode and use everything perfectly. The single is a little jumpy but it is directly related to trying to save you from a large dose of radiation.

my reception is fine, however in our house we teeter back and forth between Edge and 4G. The funny thing is, I can hold our phones side by side and I will be on E and he will be on 4G. How does that happen?

The phones could be connect to different cell towers.

Hey guys i was also having an issue with my sg3 dropping network signal all the time. im using at&t. I resolved my problem by going to:

settings - more options under wireless and networks - mobile network - network modeI slelected gsm/hspa (autoconnect)

I havent had an issue since ive done this. guess I cant use that "blazing fast lte" connection, but to be honest I dont see much of a difference. id rather my phone work and not miss calls. I hope this helps and good luck*

Let's face it the S3 is an great divice but signal issues on this phone are making me regret my purchase. Both my wife and I have S3 and we keep losing Network & Wifi signal. Places where my previous phone used to work S3 can't get reception. I have already done factory reset to no avail. Next option is to switch device however, I don't want to do that then end up with something with other issues like lose buttons and dust under screen. Is anyone else having signal issues on T-Mobile?

That's because the galaxy s III isn't a4g device, it only runs off of HSPA+ aka faux G

I just bought the Galaxy S3 about 2 weeks before they announced the S4 coming out. I am with T-mobil and previously had a motorola defy. It worked GREAT, and got both good WI FI and network reception with T-mobil. Now with the same T-mobil account, my Samsung S3 doesn't get any network reception in about 75 % of the places I used to get it with my motorola defy. I even got a signal booster to put in my home, and it still doesn't help. I just paid $600 for this stupid phone, and can't use it most of the time. I am missing calls from my kids, and can't call them when I need to. I have the latest update, and doesn't make any difference. My husband has the Galaxy S2 and has NO issues. It works fine in all the places my S3 does not. This S3 sucks!!!! I will have to eat the $600 and buy an S2 or maybe try the S4. Really dissapointed!!!!!

Well I never had WiFi nor signal problems..

That doesn't explain any of the problems listed.
