Micro Usb to Micro SD Adapter 1". Install Stickmount and you're good to go. Under 10 dollars at numerous sites. So tiny it's no inconvenience at all. Pretty much the same thing as an SD slot, and you'll only need it when you don't have a data signal anyway.

Do you have to root the N7 to install stickmount?

Has anyone found in links on where to buy this? So far I haven't been able to find any.

Try mono price dot com I get my cables and adapters there.

Kind of sucks, I don't want to root my new device for this feature. Google needs to compensate me!! j/k

I'll probably do it at some point, but well try stock for a bit and see how it goes.

Actually a WiDrive seems sensible - the prices have come down and then there is nothing hanging off the tablet.

Well I got the 16GB model, so I'm not that hot and bothered about storage. :)
But if a compact micro USB to micro SD turns up, I'll definitely buy one of those.

The guy on XDA says it exists, I'll ask him where. And I found this microusb to regular usb adapter which seems more useful anyway, it can use thumb drives and external hard drives as well. It's only .5 inches, not bulky at all.

Plus you can make it into a microusb to microSD by adding this to it. Still under an inch with both pieces together.

And to the guy who doesn't want to root his nexus, I'd just suggest you root it and just unroot it later if you're worried about warrenty.
