And if you feel like you'd rather not attempt it, hit up upstreammiami and he'll root it for you/ walk you through it. He didn't root my Bolt, but he did help out a bunch of other people, so I know he is very trustworthy.

I also heard that the DNA was a tricky phone to root, and if not done correctly I could end up bricking it. Should I be worried? I am a relatively good with technology, but never much more than recreational pc and Xbox mods. Can anyone who has rooted their DNA tell me what to expect, or do's and dont's so that I don't mess up?

There's no way you can brick your phone with htcdev.com root method I can guarantee it

Also. I don't recommend using but there is a "noob proof" toolkit . The actual way is easy. Just read directions/watch video and do exactly what they do.

My fault. I wasnt keeping up with the thread. When I was going to root/unlock his toolkit didnt work because verizon had locked down the bootloader and we had to do a different method. Good to see though.

Of course its worthwhile to root your device! There is so much you can gain from rooting your device like installing custom ROMs etc. Hope this can help you!

I'm getting more and more tempted to root or whatever else I need to do to install a Sense 5 ROM. Not sure if they've cleared up the MMS issues.
