Today an update was installed on my Note 8. Can I uninstall this and get back the old version?

Total different way of using apps. Can't just close 1 app, have to close all.
I'm so upset because my phone is paid for and not even 1yr old.
Please tell me it can be reversed.

You should be able to close one app, just swipe up on it. There's little reason to do this unless the app is acting up though, let Android handle the RAM management.

Can the update be reversed? Not easily, you'd probably be better off sorting out whatever other issues you have. Something to consider on reverting the update - you need to back up all your info as it will result in a wipe of the device, then you also need to find a way (through rooting the phone) to prevent getting the update again.

You can swipe up on individual apps in recent apps .

You can also change the style of the recent apps drawer by using a Samsung app called "GoodLock"

I recommend you download this app. It helps w/the transition to the new Pie update/One UI

Every update I fail to see the benefit, but am always impacted by some developers decision to force color schemes on me. I like Samsung themes because it affords me option to customize. I hate all white screens and am convinced its designed to wear out your phone.

Either leave the colors alone or give me the ability to customize (and not just negative or grey scale, wtf?)

Case on point, this latest update:

- calendar is all white and due to my theme so is all the text. So this is useless when it worked fine.

- email is now all white and gross pastel orange. Why?

- messaging is all funky too; all white. Good news is you didn't mess up the actual chat

- clock is all white now, again, why?

- gross blue on alarm screen when my alarm goes off; why would you even change that?

- gross blue on pull down menu for settings for wifi and bluetooth, etc; why?

- dark grey text on settings menu so you can't even read it with dark theme, and white background again.

- gross pastel settings icons

- can't close just one app; why would you even mess with that?

Not sure what your goals were or what improvements there have been with this update. I've seen nothing I like this far.

Just let us customize the colors. They're our phones.

If you don't like all the white why not just turn on night mode?

You can 100% close one app at a time, just swipe up
