I want FroYo badly, but I'd wait instead of getting a crappy build.

How many "crappy builds" have you personally tried?

I will bet skyraider as it exists now is close to or as good as anything VZW pushes...and then within a day of the push there will be a rom with all the good taken from what VZW does.

I don't know or care if it's coming today. But you guys have to remember these are phased rollouts, they always have been. So your friend could get the update today and it may be two months before you get it. So what would it even matter if someone else gets the update and posts here they got it. Doesn't mean it will happen any faster for you......well unless you root. I've had Froyo available to be for well over two months and been running it for about three weeks now and it's been great!

So my advice, if you are that impatient just root your phone. It takes 3 minutes if that now to do it..........(and is there anyway we can have this and the other "I want my Froyo" threads merged enough already.)

You know.... Back when I was a kid, I used to wait up ALL the time for different updates. Still have some cool IE Midnight madness T-Shirts from waiting up all night for those!

Now? I pulled Skyraider 2.5.2 Vanilla a week or so ago, kept it updated, pulled a hydra kernel, radio's updated.... I'm good. I have no Verizon crap on my phone, and that makes me very happy.

Welcome to the Droid Eris all over again. There will not be any upgrade to the Incredible for months, but everyone will post in these forums promising next week and waiting and then be dissappointed and then start the process over. I for one have learned my lesson and will not wait for Verizon to tell me when I can get 2.2 and am loving every minute with my rooted Incredible. Rockin 2.2 with Cyogen 6 RC3 and also a fan of Sky Raider 2.5.2.
