Today is the 18th. WHERE'S MY FROYO!!!

Journalists are fired when they don't confirm a story. Bloggers usually aren't.

This is exactly why I dislike blogs for the most part. I never rely on them for any real news for a reason.

I just get my cellphone info from them.

Bingo. If I don't have it by tonight, I'm updating the radio and saying hello to Skyraider 2.5.2

I have the same opinion, but I am trying to be patient. My deadline is Saturday afternoon. I come out of work Saturday with no Froyo and I go to bed Saturday night with a rooted phone and custom rom.

Wait. Hold on. The update is a computer program called "Froyo"???!!!!! I thought it was an update to the Inc so it would order or make frozen yogurt.

....sheesh now I really am depressed....

Fedex guy just delivered two containers of frozen yogurt.
I'm so confused.

What???? You must have gotten my order!!!!!

Oh man!

:D

Verizon blows in this aspect. Release this thing already.

Realistically, would you rather have a half baked os right now, or wait a few more weeks for one that passes all of VZW's testing requirements?

I prefer the latter, personally. If you don't, what's stopping you from rooting and loading whatever Rom you want?

Unless Verizon does a better job testing Android updates than it does with BlackBerry updates, it might come out half-baked after a few more weeks of testing anyway :p

Ouch...."Half-Baked"? That's a bit cruel...I have been running the leaked 2.2 for awhile and I would say it is much more than that IMHO.

Cyanogen Mod RC3 is amazing. Screw this FroYo update. Even if it still comes today I'm still gonna stay with Cyanogen Mod RC3. :D

Exactly, anybody who had a blackberry knows they don't do very well testing an OS.

Okay i give up on waiting for foryo....Im a newbie to rooting and such....whats the easiest way to get the custom roms on my DI and rooting? help???

I bet if you go into your carrier and tell them you want a phone now, or you will go and get an Iphone, they will upgrade you today.

Note; This won't work if you are on AT&T now

I'm with Verizon, so it might work. I can wait a couple more weeks though, about 38 new phones might release by then anyway. :p

Didn't think it was going to come today but I was always hopeful. Guess its time to root now (though not completely sure if I will or not).

On another note, this threaded is starting to turn into the "Droid Incredible shipping" thread.
:P

Aside from that support post above, we work on Android software. Verizon sent out an email earlier stating that testing had STOPPED on a potential Froyo release for the Incredible and that "another build" will be required.
