Today is the 18th. WHERE'S MY FROYO!!!

Can someone that got the update please verify the build number? The leaked update from a couple days ago was 3.21.605.1. If that matches what you have (like I've said before) that update is and has been available for days.

Go to Settings>About Phone>Software Information and then look at "software number" and PLEASE post it. Thanks!

Yes the OTA is 3.21.605.1........

However the RUU is hardly an update file. If you have access to an update.zip please share for those who are impatient.

I got the update OTA and the build number is 3.21.605.1 CL231334 release-keys.

It seems the signal reporting issue is fixed (i've had 4 bars all day :-)). Also, the 3-D games on here are sooo much smoother.

I heard previously that Pandora and the other streaming music services suffer with the 2.2 update but I am happy to report that there has been no loss of quality with my update.

I see, the RUU is a system wipe, while the update.zip will not cause you to lose anything. NOW I get it lol

Well since I've already set up everything on the leaked version there is no reason to downgrade and then wait for the OTA..

I dunno.. I kind of just want to see it downloading lmao

Re: Has anyone received the rumored 8/27 OTA Froyo update?

Doesn't matter if it is the same.

While not really that big of a deal,
Most people don't want to deal with their device being wiped during the update.

The OTA doesn't wipe the data, the other update does. So even if the update is the same, most non-technical users would prefer the OTA instead.

Finanandroid, It doesn't matter what kind of payment options you use to pay your bill. Your phone is an device that are they are randomly sending to your phone. Because this update has to go out to "All Incredible Phones" Now if you didn't pay your Bill they just shut your service off .But you still have wifi, I am sure you still can get the update by using the correct file . I had my service cut off because I swap phones on that line. I still was using my so call "no service"...Because the phone has wifi..

android noob waiting for OTA

I'm a new android user (Inc) and I'm super afraid to root my phone since I have no idea what I'm doing. I've purchased a few apps and I don't want to lose them by updating to froyo via root.

anyways, I'm trying to patiently wait for the update (grrrr) it's not really working though :(

Ok I need some help and it is a really dumb question. But I am sure other's are thinking it. I was originally rooted using unrevoked. Restored to orginal. How can I make sure everything is stock. What should the about phone say under software. Thanks

If you only rooted but did not flash a new ROM or radio file, then you have nothing to worry about and you will get the OTA just like non-rooted users.

Software should say Android 2.2 update-1

If you go to bootloader the hboot should be .77 and stock radio is 1.03.04.05 or SOMETHING. It starts with a 1 and has a 3 in it somewhere thats all I remember.

You could go into recovery from bootloader just to make sure that unrevoked is gone.

If you rooted you will have custom recovery, no? You need to flash back the stock recovery image is what i was told

Verizon was reporting a national data outage yesterday afternoon. I haven't heard if it has been resolved or not.

Yeah, I'm sorry, you are right -- you do need to flash back to the stock recovery. My bad. I just Tom Glancied all those "I'm rooted, will I get the OTA" threads since I'm not rooted...

I remember flashing the original back. Just want to make sure all is cool. Do you have the numbers or a screen shot of your software screen so I can make sure I haven't messed up.
