Except that, you know, it's still the best and most capable phone that Verizon has come out with. The Droid X and Droid 2 (even with Froyo) don't hold a candle to it.

the INC will get froyo before christmas. That was what was officially said and thats the only official word you have right now. I've had it for a month and I'm really not sure what the big deal is. Its no faster and really didn't offer anything it didn't already do. So instead of spending all day long wishing your phone had it maybe you should root and get it already.

if you're gonna root, do it now before the OTA. it's supposedly closing whatever backdoor unrevoked used, so they'll have to re-find root with the OTA froyo. you have about a week to make up your mind before the new OS starts rolling out, pending it passes

I have been following all the FroYo update threads with interest and I find it interesting that nobody has commented on the statement above by patches. Hopefully it does pass VZW testing and they start rolling this out. I am not complaining because this phone is awesome as it is right now. I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do once the upgrade finally occurs!

Well nobody has commented on the time frame quoted because every week we hear it will be next week. So it's all hear say and until either someone confirms they have received an update or Verizon officially announces it then it's still a rumor. With that being said hopefully he is right, that way the "I want Froyo" threads will slow down and stop and everyone will see how much better this phone is with Froyo.

What Froyo are you running? I guess you didn't see the tripling of benchmark scores, the smoothness of the UI, the phone not slowing down when it is installing a new app while you are doing something. Nah it doesn't do anything new, just chrome to phone, 3G mobile hotspot, Apps2SD etc. Nah Froyo has nothing to offer......

I went to her boss and asked (to be sure because I don't want to spread rumors.) He said Froyo on the 23rd. I asked,"how do you know?" He said, "My wife is a psychic. She told me." And let me tell you, she's pretty good. Last year at new year's she predicted I would get a job before Christmas. And she was right. So I'm pretty sure DINC gets Froyo Monday.

Root/Sky Raider

Just rooted with UnRevoked and then installed Sky Raider 2.5.2. It is pretty cool, faster. However I am having issues with Flash 10.1. It isn't on the ROM and I cannot download it from the Android Market (not there) with App Brain I get an error.

If you read they tell you it's on you SD card under the skyraider folder......if you don't start reading you will end up with a dead phone sooner or later.
