Today is the 18th. WHERE'S MY FROYO!!!

If Froyo does come on Monday, it will go to the Droid X. It seems that Verizon and Motorola have a love affair and HTC does not get any love. Can I just say I have an X? Will I then get Froyo? No really I do *wink* *wink*

I got that locked down either way I covered on those devices .I dont think there is any other newer phones vzw has out that doesn't have froyo "officially" except for the Incredible and the DX tho. So vzw did kinda get me that way ,Lol.

PS: I am still reading about rooting , making sure I read enough first thats alot of reading tho ,lol :p

Agreed. The "love affair" is problematic, though, especially when the best phone on the network isn't one made by Motorola. I'm eligible for another upgrade in January, and the only other phones I would ever consider that aren't made by HTC are ones running Windows 7 mobile...I got a chance to play around with the OS and it is simply fantastic. Better than Android? Way too early to tell, but it's a viable alternative if HTC doesn't get something better to Verizon in the near future.

Overall I like my Incredible. But, one thing that I can't get past is that at least in my opinion, the batteries HTC chooses to preinstall into their phones are not powerful enough for the phones and is why for the most part the stock batteries underperform when compared to other phones in the same arena.

As for the "rumors" of froyo being put onto the Incredible, we have seen them for weeks now. Is there anything verifiable on this from either Verizon, or HTC?

The only thing official is it will be released by Christmas. So expect by Christmas hope for sooner. I mean as of right now the only one that updates have officially started rolling out for on Verizon is the Moto Droid. The X is supposed to start having updates coming out but ah well.........

I agree about the batteries. They are not powerful enough for these super phones, but then again, what phone right now doesn't have an underpowered battery? They all do. I would recommend purchasing a Seidio battery. I just purchased the 3500mAh the other week and I am getting about 1.5 days - 2 days of battery life with heavy usage and all features turned on. It is worth the investment.

At this time, the only confirmation we have is that it will be here by Christmas I think is what was said on the official post. If someone else can find it for me, that would be awesome.

i heard froyo is coming on christmas with sprinkles of gingerbread as a topping.

see what i did there?...

Haven't had them in years.

I've heard that phone manufacturers will have to increase the on board RAM for future devices to be able to handle the increased size of the honeycomb build.

According to my source, Honeycomb is big. Yeah yeah yeah. It's not small. No no no.

Also, for those of us who don't want to wait, there is a way to get our hands on Honeycomb sooner. We simply have to break into the hideout where it's kept. I'm told its only being guarded by a bunch of kids to we shouldn't have any troubles whatsoever...

Yep skyraider2.2.5.2 definitelyis easier to run than I thought . Even using a new kernel which seems to do wonders for my battery life.
