Well this is a first...someone praising an iPhone for good reception and fewer dropped calls! Steve Jobs might have a job for you in his PR department to quell those pesky iPhone 4 left-handed-dropped-call rumors, whatever they are.

All kidding aside, your problem doesn't seem to be one that is common to all Incredibles. But at least Verizon is willing to send you so many replacements.

there are alot of Dinc users that have the same problem as me. I had the iPhone 3gs, not the iPhone4! and the dropped calls is why i left att and came back to vzw. the iphone itself is flawless, its just on a crappy network. if vzw were to get the iphone tomorrow, id gladly switch from the Dinc to it. I just want my phone to work, and not have to ask people on the other end (especially my girlfriend) to repeat what they said because i cant hear them

Just talked to Verizon rep, she said the OTA is scheduled for early Sep.

Lol! Another testament to the fact that there are VZW support reps who are totally clueless. Unless, of course, she is saying that to buffer the wait time from release day today to the end of the update cycle, which may take two weeks, into early September, to complete. But I'm just guessin.

Sorry to disappoint, but Froyo 2.2 looks just like 2.1, with a few updates (the version is only going up .1, so its minor). I ran the RUU last night. I mean yes, you get the new JVM which is "400%" faster, but to me, it only seems faster in benchmarks. All my other programs load and run the same. Don't get me wrong, the new features are cool (app2SD, new gmail, new msg app, new widgets, etc.), but this isn't going to be like going from Windows 95 to Windows 7. More like Windows 7 to Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

I'm on my 3rd Incredible...so I know what it's like when the phone doesn't work how you want it. But just be glad you can download the Nosecandy app (got blocked on iTunes app store)!

The only thing from FroYo that I want over everything else is the passwords and pins instead of pattern lock. I can't walt!
