tone in earpiece voice to text

When I try to use my earpiece to send a text, I get a steady tone that
sounds like you are pressing and holding a number on a touch tone phone. Anyone ever had this?

A tone in the earphone (sometimes only a wired one, sometimes only a Bluetooth one) seems to be a common problem these days. I don't think anyone has come up with a definitive solution yet. It may be a bug introduced into Android a version or two ago and never fixed.

This has been happening to me since the last update. If I can stand it and wait it out, it usually stops after about 10 seconds. It happens with all my BT devices and when I simply press the microphone button to do voice to text in any app. Annoying as hell. I wish they would fix SOON.

I did the uninstalled updates on the google app, and that seems to have worked.
