Tone When Placing Call

I get a tone right before the person whose phone I'm calling begins to ring. It will be that tone and then the person'a phone rings. Is there anywaynto disable this?

Settings > Applications > Call > Call alerts > uncheck "Call connect tone".

Thanks... obviously the phone treats the other party's phone ringing as connected.... not when they answer.
