tones don't work

Hi, I have a htc one m7 and love it, my ringtone and notifications work fine but as of yesterday, my other tones do not work.
any ideas?

What do you mean by other tones? Do you mean other preinstalled ringtones and notification tones? Or custom tones?

the pre installed sounds, ringtones and notifications work but touch keypad, vibrate keypad, swipe sounds are silent, went to settings and checked sounds for these applications but they are silent.

Go to Settings/Language & Input, tap the settings icon next to your keyboard, and make sure the sound settings are correct there.

Ok, go to Settings>Language & Keyboard, select HTC Sense Input Settings, then see if the Sound Feedback and Vibration Feedback settings are correct.

went to the settings you advised, set sound to loud from normal and vibration was already set to on, all is still silent

Yea id say the same boot to recovery and wipe cache.

And are you rooted/running custom rom??
