Too many apps are resource hogs

Is there an app that will throttle back what bandwidth and system usage various free apps use? I had a ton installed and it slowed my 3G and used up my battery. I'd still like a bunch of apps but without the hit on my phone. Thanks!

Can't help the battery issue if you absoluely need these apps.
As for your excessive internet usage, go to Settings > Data usage > and tick "Restrict background data"

I called tech support yesterday about my 3G being slow. Turns out my many apps were all connecting in the background at the same time. I installed a task killer and set task manager to clear memory every hour. Works better now. I'll remember your option for ultra battery saving or for if I uninstall the auto task killer.
